Groups

Current and future groups are set up in response to the suggestions of our members; a volunteer 'leader' from among our ranks takes on the responsibility of planning and coordinating the group. Members of the group usually make a contribution to cover the costs of each meeting. This is often just for room hire but sometimes for materials as well. So, a reading group meeting in a member's home would probably have little cost or no costs at all.

You will find below details of the current groups but don't forget: If there's an interest not catered for, suggest it to any of the Committee members and we'll see whether there is any demand for it and look for a potential group leader. You might consider offering your talent, to start a new group or if you would like further information, contact Chris Watson, our Interest Group Coordinator.

Accord Agreement: This states that "a member of one u3a may join an interest group of another u3a if a place is available." This agreement applies to all u3as within the Accord network: AWAKE, Beverley, Caves u3a, Cottingham, Hessle, Hornsea, Howden, Hull, Swanland.
