There has never been an AWAKE Badminton group, so we meet jointly with the Swanland Badminton Group.
We meet each Friday afternoon at the Hull and East Riding Sports Club, Chanterlands Avenue at 2 - 3.30pm. We pay £2 each week, which covers the cost of courts and shuttles. We have members from Awake and Cottingham u3a’s and would welcome more members. We are a friendly mixed group playing doubles games.
We usually have about a dozen players of mixed ability and do not have teams - just take turns on courts when games finish. Come along and watch or play for a couple of weeks to see whether you would like to join us. You need to be a u3a member and also a member of the Hull and East Riding Sports Club (£15 for the year).
