    The Local History Group is amongst the most popular in AWAKE u3a, with our monthly meetings regularly attracting around 40 members.   • Guitar Group

    The Guitar group continues to meet weekly, and has recently changed venues back to Men in Sheds, First Lane, Anlaby. We meet every Wednesday from 10am to 12 noon and play a wide range of music.     The French Group continues to flourish, meeting fortnightly, on the first and third Monday of each month, at 2.30pm. We start by doing a short translation from French to English, which is circulated before the meeting. These range from Jane Austen and Harry Potter to articles of current interest.     The Games Group meets at Willerby Methodist church every Monday morning from 10am -12, often running through bank holidays and Christmas to accommodate those members who live alone and find the days long.
