Two people strolling through a tree lined avenue in the Spring

The successful inaugural meeting of the Coffee and Stroll Group took place in 2017, when eight stalwart u3a’ers enjoyed a two mile stroll around the village of North Ferriby. A break for coffee and cakes was enjoyed by all, in the lovely sunshine at The Old Ticket Office Café on the station platform. It was a most enjoyable morning with a copious amount of banter supplied by Lesley Rieder (in the car), Sue McPhee (en route) and Liz Pickering (everywhere) and was much appreciated by all.

This first walk epitomised what AWAKE U3A is all about, and the joy it brings to one and all. We now meet regularly, every fortnight on a Sunday morning, with future events shown below.

We offer a leisurely 2-mile (approx.) footpath stroll, locally or within a 10 mile radius of Willerby, fortnightly on Sundays at 10.00am. We start from a designated parking area, followed by
coffee and chat in a nearby venue. Give it a try. You will be more than welcome.

Please bring with you your ICE information card, which shows personal details in case of emergency. If you are not walking due to weather conditions etc, please consider just having a coffee, as the venues are pre-booked.

For any further information or issues regarding transport etc, please contact Les McPhee by email, using the link at the top of this page.
